Overview
Problem
As a small artist myself, I know firsthand the struggles of getting discovered and recognized in such a crowded and competitive market. I also noticed that NFT collectors currently lack effective ways to display and showcase their collections.
Outcomes
Self-curated outdoor NFT show in parks with themed fields that change seasonally. Artists and collectors use an app to display NFT art in the physical world through AR, allowing viewers to view and interact with the NFTs in real life.

Uncovering Issues

User research
Findings &Insights

To get a baseline understanding of the desired experience, I conducted 6 structured interviews. Additionally, 43 individuals completed a survey.

Testing & Iterations

Usability testing
Fndings & Iterations

I conduct usability testing with multiple user and incorporate the insights into my design. Here are the big changes that were made.

Before

The initial interaction for uploading an art piece is to select it from an album, and the application will automatically recognize its information

After

After testing with NFT collectors and artists, it became apparent that it made more sense for them to link their digital wallet and upload the art pieces from there.

Before

This is the initial display for viewing the specific information of the art piece.

After

After conducting tests, I recognized that some key information that interests viewers is missing, such as the artist and the collector. Additionally, the link for purchasing was also absent. Therefore, I have created a new version to address these issues.

Lessons Learned

Reflecting on the
Project Process

The journey has been filled with challenges, ups, and downs, but it has been a tremendous learning experience. Throughout this process, I have gained invaluable insights that have shaped my understanding and approach

How to tell a story

One of the key elements of presenting an idea is being able to clearly and concisely communicate the main concept, as well as its benefits and value. This may include highlighting how the idea is innovative, how it addresses a specific need or problem, and how it will be beneficial to the target audience.

Furthermore, I have learned the benefits of using interactive and immersive technology such as Augmented Reality (AR) and how it can enhance the user's engagement and interest in the idea.

Another important aspect is the ability to tell a story that will resonate with the audience and make the idea more relatable and compelling. This includes being able to clearly communicate the key features and benefits of the idea, and to demonstrate how it will impact and be beneficial to the audience. Additionally, by framing the concept within a story and make it more relatable, I can create a sense of excitement and engagement.
